In 2008, Jonathan was able to join a team from the NC Baptist Men on mission to Kauai, Hawaii. He and his team worked with kids in the area through music and VBS. This gave them the opportunity to share the Gospel with people who are not normally receptive to Christianity. While there, Jonathan also helped build homes with the local Habitat For Humanity. He also helped feed and clothe the homeless with the local Salvation Army.  Jonathan also spent time with the local youth and shared God's salvation with them.  Two youth and seven kids prayed to receive Christ while the team from NC was in Hawaii.
