Press Release

Big things are happening for The Taylors in 2016!  A lot has changed in a short amount of time, and we are excited to share with you how God has been blessing our ministry!

A very special congratulations to Suzanne and Aaron Hise on the birth of their first child, Adaline Gayle!  Adaline was born on March 10th and weighed 7 lbs, 5oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.  She is beautiful and healthy, and our family has already fallen head over heels for this precious gift from God.  Suzanne and Aaron wish to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words.  They will be moving into their new home in Lillington in the coming days with Adaline!

That’s not all!  Late last night, Chris and Amanda Taylor welcomed their first child, little Emma Rose, to the world!  Momma and baby are fine, and they are resting this morning.  We will update the website and our Facebook page as soon as pictures become available of this beautiful, precious baby girl!  Chris wishes to express his gratitude to all who prayed for his new family during the last few days!

If you didn’t already know, Leslie and Aaron Perkins are expecting their second child in May!  You guessed it - they’re having a little girl!  Their little boy, Isaiah, is a gift from God and has practically grown up on The Taylor bus.  He’s been stealing the hearts of our audiences for the last 18 months, and we can’t wait to welcome his little sister to our family this spring!  Her name is to be Giuliana Elizabeth Ann!

We can’t tell you how happy we are to see our family growing this year!  God has truly blessed us, and we are looking forward to taking off several weeks this spring to be with our loved ones to celebrate what God has done!

With all of this wonderful news about babies, we also have some bittersweet news to share.  Beginning April 16th, The Taylors will transition from a quartet to a trio as Leslie and Aaron answer the call to minister at a church in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Aaron and Leslie have accepted the position of Pastor of Music and Students at Socastee Baptist Church.  Although we are sad to see them leave us, we are excited for Leslie and Aaron as they follow the Lord’s direction.  Leslie sang with us for nine years and was a blessing not only to our friends and fans, but also to our ministry team as we traveled every week!  Aaron ran sound for The Taylors for two years and also filled in many times when Chris was not able to be with us, and he will be greatly missed too!  Ever since Leslie can remember, she has wanted to be a mom to a little boy and a little girl.  When doctors told her that she would never be able to have children, she and Aaron trusted the Lord and prayed for a miracle!  Three years later, God is blessing them with the family that they prayed for.  We are so proud of what God is doing in their lives and in their ministry.   Would you join us in praying for The Perkins family as they transition into this new chapter of their lives?

To celebrate the time that Leslie spent with The Taylors, we have scheduled a farewell concert at the place where it all began - Fellowship Baptist in Lillington, NC.  The concert will be held on April 15th at 7:00 PM.  We hope you’ll be able to join us in wishing Leslie and Aaron the best in their new ministry!  Due to the limited amount of seating in the church, reservations are required in advance.  The concert will be a love-offering event, and you can reserve your seat by calling Lisa Taylor at (910) 658-8757.

Transitioning to a trio will no doubt be different for The Taylors, but we have been preparing for this change for the last 8 months!  We are excited to announce the release  of our first trio project, “Hope and Healing,” next month!  When Leslie shared with us that she and Aaron felt the Lord calling them to come off the road, we began to pray that God would direct us in the decisions that would need to be made moving forward.  We approached our producer, Wayne Haun, and Ernie Haase (StowTown Records) at The National Quartet Convention in September and shared with them our desire to move forward as a trio.  Wayne and Ernie quickly got on board, and we began our search for new material.  Wayne flew in for a few days in November, and we started sifting through new music in search of songs that would express what God was doing in our lives.  We narrowed the search down to 13 songs and quickly realized that God already had his hand on this new project.  Our grandfather passed away from a long battle with dementia a few days later.  Little did we know that the songs that we had selected the days before would help us get through the loss of our dear Papa!  2015 was a tough year in general for our family, so we don’t think it’s a coincidence that God gave us songs of Hope and Healing that would minister to us during this tough time.  Our parents joined us for 21 days of prayer and fasting to start the new year as we prepared to go into the studio at the end of January.  We prayed and cried over every song recorded, and we can tell you that God anointed this music from beginning to end!  God overwhelmed us with a sense of peace in the realization that He has everything under control!

We can’t wait for you to hear the new music!  Ernie is excited too!  He sent us the following texts after he heard the new songs:

“I’m hearing your new mixes, and I am blown away!  It’s like a brand new sound, a brand-new group, a brand-new ANOINTING!  I’m so proud of you all!!”

Ernie also wrote the following review for new project:

“I just finished listening to my advance copy of The Taylors’ newest StowTown project, ‘Hope and Healing,’ and my soul is over-flowing with Joy.  The New sound of The Taylors (going from quartet to trio) is family harmony at its best!  It’s heavenly harmony in my book.  What sets this project above all projects is the content.  The title says it all...this project will bring ‘Hope and Healing’ - reaffirming the faith of all who listen.  Way to go Taylors!”

After previewing the new project to select a new radio single, our promoter, Susan Whisnant, had the following to say:

“I sat and listened to every song this morning!!!!  I haven’t had a project to ‘move me’ like this in a very long time!!!!  Every song is lyrically and vocally superb!!  Honestly...and I don’t say this often....this project will be in my car, and I will listen to it for years to come!!!  WELL DONE!!!!  I’ll get back to you on the single!!  I’m still crying!!!!”

“Hope and Healing” will be released on April 8th everywhere (including iTunes) - so mark your calendars!  Be sure to check our website and Facebook for updates in the following days - you just might hear a few samples of the project before it’s available in stores!

To celebrate the new project, we invite you to join us for a CD release concert on the night following Leslie’s farewell concert.  The concert will also be held at Fellowship Baptist on April 16th at 7:00 PM.  You can also reserve your seat for this concert at the same time time you reserve your seat for Leslie’s farewell concert by calling the number above.  If you plan to come from out of town for the weekend, be sure to let us know so that we can give you information on the best places to stay!

Well, that’s a lot of information to share...we hope that we haven’t overwhelmed you!  One last bit of exciting news:  Our newest single, “He’s My Guide,” has jumped to #13 on the Singing News Top 20 chart!  Please continue to request our music at your local radio station!

Before we go, we want to say thanks once again for all of your prayers and support!  You are an extension of our ministry, and we couldn’t continue doing what we love to do if it weren’t for folks like you!  God bless you!!!
