Here’s what The Taylors have to say about the new project:

The inspiration for this album came to us over the last few years as we traveled back to North Carolina after long days on the road. We often tour for weeks at a time without seeing our family, but when we are home, it’s always so special! Many hours have been spent driving home through the night, and to be honest, sometimes we get weary. But as the sun rises and we get closer to our family, we get so excited in knowing that we’re almost home! We soon came to the realization that if we get excited about being closer to our home here on earth, imagine how awesome it’s going to be when we finally reach our heavenly home in glory! With that in mind, we chose to record songs with a message about hope, perseverance, and of course, heaven! It’s our heart’s desire that as you listen to this album, you will be encouraged to keep looking towards heaven because we’re ALMOST HOME!

A note from Producer, Jeff Stice:

I've had the good fortune of being involved with Southern Gospel Music for a long time...28 years in fact. Because of this, I've seen a lot of groups come and go. For whatever reason, some of these groups couldn't last. Some did wonderful work while they were here, some had personal reasons for disbanding, and some just got tired of trying. To have a full time ministry in Southern Gospel Music, it takes a TOTAL COMMITMENT from every member of the group. The Taylors are the epitome of that very thing. This is the second project I've been able to produce for "my kids," and the growth from the first one to this one is astounding! I've noticed that there is a sense of wanting to cultivate the talents that God has given each of them. I've always believed that our Heavenly Father expects our very best, not just our availability, and I absolutely love working with people who strive to achieve this. When you listen to this project you will be able to tell that their goal was to glorify God by presenting their finest work to date. Honestly, there's nothing like listening to young people sing Southern Gospel Music the way it should be sung, and The Taylors do just that. ENJOY!

Jonathan Taylor Ordained as Minister - 2/10/11

Jonathan Wesley Taylor, of The Taylors, was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister on Sunday, February 6, 2011. His home church, Fellowship Baptist of Lillington, NC, was filled with family and friends as his father, Rev. James Taylor, led the ceremony. The Taylors have been delivering the message of the Gospel through song and invitation since 2006, and Jonathan feels that his ordination is the next step in a lifelong commitment to the ministry. Jonathan says that he has felt called to ministry for many years, but that he has not been certain of exactly where the Lord was leading. “I know that God has me at this place in my life, and only He knows what the future will hold. I just want to make myself fully available to Him.” Jonathan would like to thank his family and his friends whose prayers and support have been very helpful in making this decision.
